Daughters Education program
Supporting of 300 girls to attend primary school in 6 districts
of Chiang Rai province. All have been identified as being as risk
centering prostitution. Most live at home but attend extra-currcular
activities at the DEP centres. Approximately 70 girls live at the
centres, mostly from the akha village.

Youth leadership Training Program
Support of 20 gairls who have already left school to continue their
education through the non formal education system. They paticipate
in personal and leadership development activities and work experience
with a view to being future community leaders . They develop dramas,
puppet plays and other forms of media to educate children and communities
about problems which affect children in this region.

ProjectgPreventing Young Girls in the North of
Thailand From Being Lured into Forced Labourh
Vocational training is sewing, weaving, and computer skills for
100 girls who also study non formal school on the week-ends.

Education & Development Program for Patak Children
Day care and instruction in basic literacy for 50 children from
verry poor and troubled families who have no nationality or identity
papers and therefore have difficulty enroling in the formal education
system.

Street Education & Health Program
Takes basic mobile education to the children begging in the streets
of Mae Sai. Includes intervention in family based problems. Legal
issues. Informal teaching of Thai language, life skills and health
issues.

Follow, Rescre &Rehabilitation Program
Monitoring of past daughtersf welfare and regular contact and support
when requied. Includes advocacy and intervention services.

Cooperative shop
A small restaurant and supplies store at the Mae Sai centre, providing
staff, visiter and girls with vegetarian food, school supplies,
toiletries and other goods. Also an outlet for handcrafts that the
girls have made.

Mekong study Centre for Children
Reserch and study of the situation of children in northern Thailand
and neighbouring countries. Collection of data, sharing,skills and
knowledge gained from the DEP experience and networking with others
working to stop the exploitation of children in Laos, Burma, and
southern China.

Youth Development Office
Office support for the centre and the developing of youths involved
in the Youth Leardership Training Program. Allows girls to work
in a real office environment ad develop clerical and associated
skills.
